Roles

A role in Crewdox is the connector between Crew and Records

Create a role

  1. Go to Settings - Roles, Locations, Departments
  2. Click the button "New R/L/D" in the top right corner of the page
  3. Give the role a name. For example Flight Crew
  4. Select if it is a Role, Location or Department. (Functionality wise there is no difference)
  5. Click Save
Now, a secondary pop-up will open and ask you to assign some records to the role. Since we have not added any records yet into the system, just click save.

R/L/D

When creating a role, you can choose if it should be a Role, Location or Department. The default setting when creating a new role will be Role. There is no difference in functionality regardless of the option that you select when creating a role.

Integrations

The integration for roles is used in some integrations and is not required for setting up a role.

Records

The records tab is where you can add or remove records for a role.

Deleting a role

In case you want to delete a role, you will first need to remove the role from all crew before the role itself can be deleted.
