Logging out
Tap the ☰ icon in the top-left corner to open the menu.
- Tap the gear icon next to your name to open Settings.
- Tap Log Out in the top-right corner of the Profile Settings section.
You'll be returned to the sign-in screen.
Warning: Unsaved Data
If you have work on your iPad that hasn't been synced to the server — for example, a form you started but haven't submitted — you'll see a Warning: Unsaved Data message listing the items that will be lost.
- To keep your work, tap Cancel, then finish and submit the item or tap Sync now in the menu before logging out again.
- To log out anyway, type confirm in the box and tap Log Out Anyway. The listed items will be permanently deleted and can't be recovered.
What happens when you log out
Logging out removes all Crewdox data from your iPad. The next time you log in, the app will run a full initial sync again, which can take a few minutes. If you're just stepping away, there's no need to log out — you can simply close the app and your data will still be there when you return.
Tips
- Sync before logging out so nothing is left on the device. See How sync works.
- If you share an iPad with other crew, always log out when you're finished so the next person can sign in to their own account.
- Make sure you have a good Wi‑Fi or mobile connection before logging back in, as the initial sync will need to download your data again.
