- Check that all required fields (marked with a red asterisk) are filled in. If any are missing when you tap Submit, the app will tell you which fields need completing.
- Tap Submit in the top-right corner.
If you're online, the form is sent to the server straight away and moves to the History tab.
If you're offline, the form is saved on your iPad and appears under Forms In Progress with a blue bar and the status Waiting for sync to server. It is not sent automatically. When you're back online:
- Tap the sync icon in the top-right corner of the Forms screen (the number next to it shows how many forms are waiting), or tap Sync now in the ☰ menu.
- Once sent, the form moves to the History tab.

Until a form has been sent it exists only on your iPad — your organisation can't see it, and it will be lost if you log out. Make it a habit to sync as soon as you have a connection.
If you spot a mistake in a form you submitted offline, you can still change it before it's sent:
- Tap the form in Forms In Progress.
- In the Edit Form message, tap I'm sure – open the form.
- Make your changes and tap Submit again.

Opening the form for editing takes it out of the sync queue, so it won't be sent until you submit it again.
Editing a form that's already been sent
Once a form has reached the server it can't be edited from the app. If something needs changing, contact your administrator or the person who reviews the form — they can return it to you for correction. See Returned forms.
