Courses for trainers

Assigned courses

For trainers, managing courses is best accomplished using the iPad app, though most features are also accessible through the web interface. This article will concentrate on the iPad interface for instructors, as it is the recommended approach.

Sync settings

The default setting is set to sync all course a trainer is assigned to. It is however possible to change this for the whole company if there are many courses in progress at the same time. To change the default setting, please contact Crewdox support team.
Individual sync can be managed by clicking on "Sync settings" in the bottom navigation. There are three options available:
  1. Sync All Courses - All courses that a trainer is assigned to will be synced. This could increase sync times when many courses are active at the same time.
  2. Automatic sync - Courses will be synced based on planned events. It is possible to add additional courses by toggle the switch on individual courses.
  3. Manual Sync - Any course that should be synced needs to be selected by toggling the switch.
Important! When a selection other than "Sync All Courses" have been selected, it is required to perform an additional sync for the selected courses to become synced.

Access assigned courses

To access courses assigned to an individual trainer, open the menu and go to "Courses".

Click on the course that should be worked with.

You will now see the progress on individual blocks in the course.
By clicking on the Simulator training block, the form blocks will be visible and selectable to work with.

By clicking on Sim 2 in the above example, the form will open and can be submitted by filling out all required fields followed by submit in the top right corner of the app.

Dynamic blocks

Dynamic blocks can be added in the app by clicking the plus icon in the top right corner of the app.

As long as the dynamic block has not been synchronized with the server — which occurs once it is submitted and a full sync is completed — the block can be removed from the app by swiping left on the dynamic block.

To submit a dynamic block, fill out all required fields followed by "Submit" in the top right corner.

A message will inform that a sync is required to sync the submitted block to the server.

Anytime there are submitted but un-synced data on the app, there will be an upwards pointing arrow to remind the user to perform a sync when the work is completed. The sync can either be done by clicking on the arrow, or by clicking "Sync all" in the main navigation.

Training elements

To access training element that are associated with an OJT, click "Training Elements" in the bottom navigation.

Any training element that have already been "checked off" will be green, while remaining elements are grey.
